*African Monsoons (AFMS.ppt):*



Weekly rainfall surpluses exceeded 100mm over portions of southern DRC,
Zambia, northern Mozambique, and southern Madagascar.



Week-1 outlooks call for an increased chance for below-average rainfall
over eastern Gabon, northern Congo-Brazzaville, northern DRC, southern
Zambia, eastern Botswana, much of Zimbabwe, and central Mozambique. In
contrast, there is an increased chance for above-average rainfall over
southern Tanzania, northern Malawi, northern Mozambique and Madagascar.





*Asian-Australian Monsoons (AAMS.ppt):*

*South American Monsoons (SAMS.ppt):*



Rainfall deficits increased over the Amazon Basin, and Central and
Southeast Brazil.



During the last 7 days (14-20 December 2015), below-average precipitation
was observed over most of Brazil north of 20S.  Above-average precipitation
was observed over portions of Paraguay, Uruguay, northeastern Argentina and
southern Brazil.



For 21-27 December 2015, below-average precipitation is predicted for most
of the Amazon Basin, and central and southeastern Brazil. Above-average
precipitation is predicted for northern Peru, northeastern Argentina,
Uruguay and extreme southern Brazil.
