[Ncep.list.fv3-announce] NEMSfv3gfs and FV3 git repository updated on 20180522

Dear all,

Following changes were committed to the NEMSfv3gfs and FV3 repositories:

Feature 47097: Portability features
Code changes are made to NEMSfv3gfs and its two submodules FV3 and NEMS to
extend the portability of the NEMSfv3gfs. The NEMSfv3gfs now can run on
theia and Cheyenne with Intel, PGI and GFORTRAN compilers, and Apple
notebooks running MacOSX with GFORTRAN.

The suggested changes do not change the results for Intel compiler on
previous the supported platforms (wcoss phase1/2, cray, theia, jet and
gaea). New baselines for different compilers and different machines are
created, but they are not not bit for bit identical to Intel compiler
results.
