*HIGHLIGHTS:*

*African Monsoons (AFMS.ppt):*

Week-1 outlooks call for an increased chance for above-average rainfall
over much of Guinea, southern Senegal, southern Mali, Liberia, Sierra
Leone, western Cote d'Ivoire, South Sudan, southwestern Ethiopia, and
northern portions of Uganda and Kenya. In contrast, there is an increased
chance for below-average rainfall over northern Nigeria, southern Niger,
and western Chad.

*North American Monsoons (NAMS.ppt):*

Below-average rainfall has been observed over eastern Mexico during the
past week.

Rainfall accumulations over the past 30 days are near-average across the
western Mexico and southwestern U.S., and slightly below-average over the
eastern part of Mexico.

NCEP/GFS Forecasts call for above-average precipitation over the western
and central Mexico and near-average over southwestern US during the next
two weeks.

*South American Monsoons (SAMS.ppt):*
