 Upon further investigation, it appears that no matter what the value of
 {{{FTSFS}}}, which is the e-folding time for relaxing SST to climatology,
 the model will not read and replace the SST values at initialization,
 because the block of code that does this is commented out in
 {{{sfcsub.f}}}. See lines 3737-3757 in {{{sfcsub.f}}}.

 The relaxation time scale for 90 days should not be changed, but the code
 needs to be adapted to read and update the SST at initialization time.

 Further scrutiny is required.
