[Ncep.list.nos-nowcoast-status] NOAA nowCOAST Status Message - IMPORTANT - Redirect scheduled for tomorrow

Tomorrow:

The nowCOAST instance hosted at NWS/NCEP/NCO IDP Data Centers for the past
eight years will be turned off permanently.  The domain name
nowCOAST.noaa.gov will be redirected to the new open-source, cloud-based
nowCOAST on or about Monday, April 3, 2023 starting at approximately 11 AM
EDT.   The redirect could be postponed if there is a Critical Weather Day
in effect.

Key Points:

- GeoServices REST specification/protocol will not be supported any more.

- nowCOAST support will be downgraded from 24 x 7 to 8 x 5.  nowCOAST
monitoring and all support will become the responsibility of NOS/OCS/CSDL
and not NWS/NCEP/NCO.

- Not all the datasets on the present nowCOAST at IDP map services will be
available on the nowCOAST cloud-based map services or displayed on the map
viewer when nowCOAST at IDP is turned off.

- nowCOAST users should contact the nowCOAST Team at
nowcoast.team at noaa.gov.and not the NCEP SDM (sdm at noaa.gov) if you
experience problems with the new nowCOAST after the redirect is implemented
tomorrow.
