[Ncep.list.nems.announce] reminder: impending, unknown, commits next week

Hi all,

This is a reminder that the WCOSS Cray filesystems will be changed this
week. Many scripts will have to be modified for the new filesystem
structure. Although the code managers have planned for this, there are
likely to be unexpected problems. Some problems may be outside of our
control. If all goes according to plan, then NEMS will be fully functional
on WCOSS Cray by Tuesday.

Know problems in the world of NEMS:

1. Nightly regression test paths must be updated.
2. NEMSCompsetRun auto-detection of the most empty ptmp will break.
Workaround is to use --temp-dir= to manually specify the path.
3. Paths in NEMSfv3gfs conf, compsets, and tests, will need to be updated.

Note that anything in /usrx/local and /gpfs/hps/nco will NOT move. Most of
the rest of /gpfs/hps will move to /gpfs/hps2 or /gpfs/hps3. Hence, if you
are using libraries in system standard areas (/usrx/local or
/gpfs/hps/nco/ops/nwprod) you won't have to modify your scripts. If you are
using a project or personal directory on /gpfs/hps, you will have to modify
your scripts.

Sincerely,
Sam Trahan
