Jay,
We’re back to seeing the dropped Composite Reflectivity products at around 0208Z and 1408Z daily via LDM and on the MRMS download page. Is there any progress in resolving the dropped/delayed products?
Thanks,
Ken

Here are the list of outages of the Composite Reflectivity products dropped since Nov. 1. These are measured on the MRMS download web pages, but our LDM service matches the download page, so whatever is causing it is upstream. The report shows the valid time of the Composite Reflectivity products (MergedReflectivityQComposite) when the valid time is more than 180 seconds older.
Also, note that these are actual dropped products. We’ve observed delays in the data of a couple of minutes, but no products were dropped. But, generally a product is dropped when a delay happens. As we’ve noted in emails before, delayed products cause the FAA to fail requirements because they have timelines between the valid time of the data and delivery to the aircraft.

Ken,
I am trying to piece together what might have happened since the failover to College Park that happened on Friday afternoon.
I know you are reporting missing 2 minute products at various times. (Specifically 0210 and 1410 z). Did you see extended outages for any of your products since the last weekend? Are you getting most of your products and an ocassional product is being missed?
Thanks much for your help

Jay,
The MRMS LDM feed dropped & delayed Composite Reflectivity (MergedReflectivityQComposite) products again at 0210Z and 1410Z today. The dropped products can be seen on the MRMS download page, as well as LDM. Specifically, the CONUS 0208Z, Alaska 0208Z & 1408Z, Hawaii 0208Z & 0210Z, the Caribbean 0208Z & 0210Z, and the Guam 0208Z products were missed.

Jay...
I've noticed something strange. We're not getting a lot of MRMS data
files. The ones that we get are timestamped over 30 minutes old. LDM is
showing zero complaints. I've restarted LDM, but I see no signs of
improvement.
The problems started between 00Z and 01Z Saturday night and has just
gotten worse.
It's always possible there is a problem at our end, however, none of my
other LDM connections have problems with delayed data.
