All,

Please note that Chasity has provided the updated passport listing
(attached). Please take the following action:

1) Review the list for your travelers to see if anyone needs to renew their
passport and/or take the briefing. You can provide her any updates.

2) If your office is housing passports, she needs a memo from the approving
official explaining the need for the passports to be housed and what
procedures you have in place to ensure the return of the passport after
travel.

Subject: NWS Passport Listing

Good afternoon,

I shared the NWS passport listing with all of you today.  Please go through
your list of travelers and see who needs to renew and if they plan to
renew. The new year is right around the corner and we want to start the new
year out with valid passports.

Also, remember you must have a valid briefing for the TA to be approved, so
please update those accordingly.

If your office is housing passports (if you have not already sent to me), I
need a memo from the approving official explaining the need for the
passports to be housed and what procedures you have in place to ensure the
return of the passport after travel.  I would also need the listing of the
passports.  Offices have to have permission to house passports and they
must have a fireproof safe to do so. NOAA Travel Office (NTO) is the
official repository for passports.

Please get back to me by COB 12/31/2018; with passports to cancel or renew
and if you house passports or not.
