*HIGHLIGHTS:*

*African Monsoons:*

Widespread above-average rainfall was observed across the Gulf of Guinea

over parts of eastern Angola, the Caprivi Strip region, northern Botswana,
Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, portions of eastern CAR, DRC,
Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Kenya, Ethiopia, and
portions of eastern Madagascar. In contrast, there is an increased chance
for below-average rainfall over portions of Congo-Brazzaville, western DRC,
northern Angola, parts of South Africa, Lesotho, and Swaziland.

*Asian-Australian Monsoons:*

Not available for this week.

*South American Monsoons:*

Long-term rainfall deficits are present over the Amazon Basin and the
Brazilian Plateau.

During the last 7 days, below-average precipitation was observed over
portions of southern Brazil, Uruguay, northern Argentina, southern Bolivia,
northeastern Peru and southeastern Colombia. Above-average precipitation
was observed over much of northern and central Brazil.

For Days 1-7 (26 Feb – 04 Mar 2018), below-average precipitation is
