The weekly PowerPoint presentations summarizing the recent variability of
the global monsoon systems have been updated on the CPC Global Monsoons

*African Monsoons:*



Below-average rainfall was observed across many places in the Central
Africa and northern Southern Africa countries.



Week-1 outlooks call for an increased chance for above-average rainfall
over portions of Gabon, southern Congo-Brazzaville, southwestern DRC,
western Angola, southern Zimbabwe, eastern Botswana, southern Mozambique,
eastern South Africa, Lesotho, and Swaziland. In contrast, there is an
increased chance for below-average rainfall over southeastern Cameroon,
southern CAR, portions of DRC, southern South Sudan, northwestern Uganda,
portions of Kenya, portions of Tanzania and parts of southern Somalia, and
northern Zambia.





*Asian-Australian Monsoons:*



Not available for this week.





*South American Monsoons:*



Long-term rainfall deficits are present over Brazilian Plateau.



During the last 7 days (31 Oct – 06 Nov 2016), below-average precipitation
was observed over much of Brazil and northern Bolivia. Above-average
precipitation was observed over eastern Colombia, much of Venezuela and the
extreme southern Brazil.



For 07 - 13 Nov 2016, below-average precipitation is predicted over
northwestern South America, southern Brazil and southern Chile.
Above-average precipitation is predicted for much of eastern Brazil,
Bolivia and Argentina.
