After discussing with Fanglin.Yang, a Rocoto based workflow, jobs, config
files are being copied to {{{gfs_workflow/para/fv3gfs}}}
This was previously version controlled at
https://svnemc.ncep.noaa.gov/projects/sandbox/Rahul.Mahajan/trunk/GDAS
There are several things to keep in mind with this workflow:
1. This is '''not''' a substitute for current forecast-only runs that
Fanglin.Yang and other members of EMC are currently using.
2. It is intended to create a cycling version as fast as possible, and
several components are missing or highly simplified. e.g. a. {{{vrfy}}}
step is just a place-holder, until it is synchronised with {{{VSDB}}}. b.
{{{prep}}} step assumes that {{{prepbufr}}} and
{{{prepbufr.acft_profiles}}} files are downloaded from operations and are
not generated internally. c. {{{arch, earc}}} steps only archive what is
necessary for a restart capability. More functionality will be added as we
go on.
3. This workflow will only work with the production filename conventions
as will be effective with the May 2017 implementation and adheres to the
production directory structure.
4. A run-down of the workflow and how to configure and run an experiment
will be provided to whoever is interested.
The intent of this commit is to allow developers to enable a limited
cycling capability with FV3.
