Here is today's summary of NHC computer operations:
Yesterday's AWIPS PX server upgrade was successful.
A request for a new link on the TAFB section NHC web page was made to the
NCO helpdesk. Web links are modified by TSB, so this will be taken care of
locally. See below for a reminder on the guidance for submitting NCO
helpdesk tickets versus putting in a local request to TSB.
Reminder: NCO helpdesk tickets should be submitted through the Google Form
Monica created. One of the local NCO staff (Brian, Marc or Kim) or a sys
admin from College Park will be assigned to assist. NCO tickets are for all
Windows issues, Linux sys admin Linux such as a frozen workstation or
requests for software installation, network outages, and hurricane hotline
and phone issues. During off hours, the SDM can be contacted for issues
that are operationally critical.
TSB should be notified through the TAFB and HSU shift logs for ATCF, web
page and N-AWIPS data flow problems. For operationally critical problems
during off hours use the list of TSB focal points in the operations area.
For longer term development requests, contact the TSB branch chief.
