HSU Shift Log for Wed Apr 05 2017 07:28:18 GMT-0400 (EDT)

Shift: H

Forecaster: E Blake

Technical Issues Summary:

ATCF issues:

N-AWIPS issues: Continued slow GFS ingestion. Unsure why it is just that
model as most everything else seems to be timely.

AWIPS-2/NCP issues:

Other Techincal issues:

Miscellaneous issues: Models starting to latch onto another low in the SW
Atlantic similar to AL90 last week. System is still in the 6-10 day
forecast so lots of time to watch it. At this point looks marginally
frontal and might have more of a chance to do something (although still
low) with a more blocked pattern. Interestingly, a 2 SD CCKW is coming
through beforehand, with any weak MJO forcing also returning to the western
Hemisphere around then.
