Here is today's summary of NHC computer operations:
--- Mark

The mouse on the ballyhoo N-AWIPS workstation does not seem to be working
properly. NCO is looking into that.

The cumulus N-AWIPS workstation was successfully rebooted over the weekend.
According to NCO, it is now safe to reboot all of the N-AWIPS workstations.
The cable box for the TV by the Atlantic desk is missing. Mark will look
into this.

The space bar on the Atlantic ATCF has been having intermittent problems,
but seems okay now. Let TSB know through the shift log if the problem

The Atlantic ATCF was rebooted over the weekend, which helped with the
ingest of vortex messages. The system still is sluggish when plotting the
intensity guidance, which might be caused by the large size of the A-deck
for Matthew.
Other items:
There was a GOES-east outage for a few hours on Saturday night. That was
due to a problem on the satellite and was resolved after a few hours. Mike
Brennan suggested to the SDM to go to 30 min full disk for GOES-West, which
would have provided some imagery for Hurricane Matthew, but that option
ended up not being needed this time.
RFC 203 will be implemented today to make the GIS software on the TSB
server consistent with that on the SSU server for the inundation graphic. A
menu item will also be added to N-AWIPS to make it easier to run the
inundation graphic.
