Here is today's summary of NHC computer operations:
--- Mark

Once we changed to mixed case, the TWDAT update script started dropping the
line "Based on XXXX UTC surface analysis and ..." that comes after the
header and area descriptor. Chris Mello will look into this.
The RSO data was missing during TS Bonnie. This is due to issues with the
NHC local GOES-east ingest system. TSB is looking into making sur the RSO
data is part of the NESDIS back up and NCO is working to restore the local
feed of GOES-east.

The new rapid intensification index did not always work during Bonnie. This
is due to a problem with the IR data processing. TSB is working with NCO to
fix the bug.

SAB fixes and COTX forecasts are not importing properly in the ATCF. Monica
is investigating.

The San Juan TCD did not post on the web page, and there were some issues
with the URLs for the WFO HLS. Dave is looking into this.

There was an issue with the GTWO shapefile. Dave and Matt are investigating.

The Doppler velocities appear to be off by a factor of two in N-AWIPS. This
problem has be around for a few years. TSB will look into possible local

The guidance suite did not run this morning for AL92. Mark is
investigating. Also, Mark will confirm with EMC that the GFS vortex
relocation is still occurring for all active TCs, so we still have to
revert back to invests for post-tropical systems for now.

Other items:
Non-bargaining unit staff need to add 2-factor authentication to their NOAA
gmail account. Contractor staff will need to do the same shortly.

Ben Kyger sent a message about e-mail policy changes (not related to the
2-factor issue above), about a Sender Policy Framework being implemented
today. This should only impact e-mails sent directly from Linux systems
without going through an e-mail client. Thus, most of us who do their
e-mail through the web interface, outlook or Thunderbird should be okay.
RFC 175 will be implemented on June 1st to automatically archive the
inundation downloads files.
