Here is today's summary of NHC computer operations:
--- Mark

On Sunday night TAFB attempted to generate a vortex from the provisional
forecast for 97L using the presTCM GUI. However the TCM tool failed when
using this work file. They did not see an obvious problem with work file
text. Matt will investigate.

On Saturday the update (Holweg) script for the HSFEP3 for 1800 UTC
incorrectly time stamped the 24 and 48 hour forecast times. They were time
stamped with valid times of 1200 UTC. Could be an issue stemming from
crossing months (July into August). Matt and Chris will look into this.

The PC at the Pacific desk in TAFB has a scheduled rainfall alert (windows
task scheduler) that is no longer needed. Dave put in an NCO helpdesk
ticket to turn that off.

There were issues with printing from the ATCF late last week and over the
weekend. Mike called the SDM for off-hour NCO support and the problem was
fixed by Sunday afternoon.

Graphical products from Atlantic N-AWIPS "Tilefish" terminal did not print.
Matt will investigate.
Other items:
The storm surge collaboration tests planned with San Juan and Key West will
likely be postponed due to high probability of TC genesis in the Caribbean
in the next 2 days.
RFC 186 will be implemented today (8/1) to start the new Danger graphic
that is based on the wind speed probabilities.

RFC 187 will be implemented on 8/2 to modify a script to account for a new
location that FNMOC puts their tracker files on the opah server.
