Here is today's update on NHC's computer operations.

1. NHC TAFB forecasters report that the handset cord of the telephone at the Atlantic desk needs to be replaced because the receiver keeps disconnecting. An NCO Help Desk ticket has been filed on this issue.

2. The TAFB shift log is down. This capability was initially set up as part of Mike Brennan’s Google account, so he will have to troubleshoot it. TSB will transition it to a more generic group account in the near future. Lead Forecaster Jeff LewiTsky advises that forecasters can open up the TAFB Shift Log (Responses) Spreadsheet when logged into their Google accounts and manually insert a line above the last entry. This will allow TAFB to continue to track technical issues until the submission form gets fixed.

1. Ongoing: P-Surge test cases will be run once per day at about 14 UTC (9 am local time) all week to test the AWIPS software at WFOs and continue collaboration testing.

Other Issues:

1. A contractor will be at NHC again today to set up radio frequency interference testing for the new GOES-R ingest system.
