Hi Arun,

many thanks for your nice words.

Everybody should keep in mind that this is a new born baby we
except that after we finish alpha and beta testing we will have a
really great code. I really encourage as many as possible people
to put their hands NOW or ASAP on the model, since this will
greatly improve the final release.

It was really a great experience for me to work so tight with
this nice youg enthusiastic scientist and I learned a lot myself
and to be part of all this. With the help of the community we will
get the most versatile wave model world wide, there is more to
come ... real fun!

We are not doing a 1st validation study and I hereby invite
everybody to join our efforts. As by now we will work on the
validation for the

I am happy to assist in mesh generation and validation. The
technical paper and the documentation of the new schemes is now
ongoing and we are eager to have this done before beta testing.

We are very excited with this development of
WAVEWATCH III. Kudos to Ali, Jessica, Aron and Tyler for working
so hard to get this capability in (well a series of
capabilities. It was very hard to get Aron to stop!). This is a
significant milestone for WAVEWATCH III and we are very proud of
the work done by this team. Now like any new significant
development there are bound to be bugs so we would love for
everyone to test drive this shiny new car and let us know all
the issues that you find. Keep in mind that the real upgrade you
will see is when you try to run the very high resolution grids.
As always we rely on the community support to make this a
success.
WAVEWATCH III is now at version 6.04 with the inclusion of
the ugdev2 branch! A quick list of the updates are:

Implicit time integration was added for unstructured
grids

Domain decomposition was added for unstructured
implicit/explicit schemes using PDLIB (Parallel Domain
Decomposition Library) based on ParMetis

The SHRD/DIST ISEA/JSEA process was updated with
GET_ISEA_INIT and GET_JSEA_INIT

Improved preprocessing of unstructured grid arrays
was developed

New and more efficient wetting/drying was added for
unstructured grids

A new switch pre-processor WW3_switch_process

MEMCHECK options was added to trace memory usage
during runtime constructing a new interface to MALLOC
and system msg.

SETUP switch - implicit unstructured computation of

Please note that there were lots of changes made including
various bug fixes. The changes in the structured regtests
if any, were small in magnitude. Due to the large amounts
of changes, I would be a recommend making a test of your
applications to insure there are no issues. If you
do have problems, please create an issue describing it on
