<div dir="ltr"><br><div class="gmail_extra">The 27/00Z HIRES ARW issue reported in yesterday's report is now closed. NCO and EMC personnel implemented a temporary fix to the model and were able to rerun
the 27/00Z model successfully. The fix entailed changing a parameter which restricts the amount of heating that is produced
by the model microphysics...this helped reduce model instability and allowed for a clean run. The 27/00Z HIRESW ARW
products were made available with an approximately 8 hour delay. <br><br>The subsequent runs have completed normally and on-time with no intervention or modified
parameters, so this appears to be a one time issue. Special procedures
are now available to recover more quickly should the issue arise again.
EMC and NCO support continue to check various aspects of the originally
failed model's calculations and parameters to get to a more definitive
