*NWWS UPDATE for APRIL 2015*
NWWS-2 (Satellite and Open Interface) was released April 1, 2015.
The 90-day transition period will last from April 1, 2015 to June 30, 2015.
During the transition period both the legacy and NWWS-2 will be available.
The NWWS-2 solution is for users to have both ingests; satellite
SBN/NOAAPORT Channel 201 and the Internet Open Interface (OI), for high
OI Users request user_id and password by emailing the Program Manager;

And if the users need a product filter, the users are required to submit an
End User Client (EUC) disclaimer (available on the NWWS webpage) to the
*Satellite Reception Issue:*
NWS continues to consider solutions for the satellite reception issue
identified in October 2014. NWS tested three software solutions provided
by Novra for the NOVRA S300 satellite receivers. These solutions did not
reduce the satellite interference as compared to a cumbersome band-filter
previously tested by NWS. NWS is looking for a lighter solution for a
filter that can be used with 1.8m dishes..
