NOAA/NOS nowCOAST Status Message

A new version of NOAA's nowCOAST was implemented earlier today on the NOAA
Integrated Dissemination Program’s Data Centers operated by NWS/NCEP
Central Operations.  The version provides maps of forecast guidance of
water levels, surface water temperatures, surface salinity, and surface
water currents  from the upgraded version of the National Ocean Service's
Northern Gulf of Mexico Operational Forecast System.  Maps of the forecast
guidance are available from the map  service
guidance_model_coastalocean_ngofs_time and on the map viewer.

 Additional information about the upgraded NGOFS which integrated the
previous version of the NGOFS, the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico (NEGOFS),
and the Northwestern Gulf of Mexico (NWGOFS) into one model grid and also
extended the model domain to the Mexico border and into the Mississippi
River up to Baton Rouge, LA can be found at
