NOAA nowCOAST Status Message

On Monday, November 4, 2019, NWS/NCEP Central Operations is planning to do
a "flash the lights exercise" and block access to NEMS LDAP.  LDAP is the
authentication tool used across several NOAA applications to authenticate
NOAA users.  This exercise is slated to last 30 minutes from 1500 to 1530
UTC (1000  to 1030 EST).

nowCOAST's  map services and map viewer will experience instability
issues due to back end authentication attempts to NEMS LDAP failing
during the flash the lights outage.

 Once the test is over around 1530 UTC, nowCOAST users should not
experience any issues.  However, if you do have problems, please send  an
email to sdm at noaa.gov with cc to nowcoast.team at noaa.gov.
