Steps were implemented around 530 PM EDT today by NCEP/NCO and nowCOAST
Teams to minimize the impact of an issue with the web mapping software used
by nowCOAST.  Users should see significant improvement in the performance
of nowCOAST's map services and viewer.

Personnel at NCO will continue to monitor nowCOAST overnight and take
necessary steps, if necessary, to ensure that nowCOAST's map services and
map viewer remain available to our users and partners.

nowcoast.team at noaa.gov during normal business hours and contact
sdm at noaa.gov after
hours.
