The NWS/IDP GIS group requested that the following announcement be distributed via the NOS nowCOAST listserv email list.

Effective March 28, 2016 the NOAA Integrated Dissemination Program
(IDP) GIS Web Services are operational at the following URL:
http://idpgis.ncep.noaa.gov.  The legacy GIS services currently running at NWS Southern Region have
been migrated and upgraded to newer webmapping software, an open source
database and more robust infrastructure.  Additionally, the new geospatial web services provide users with both
time-enabled services and OGC Web Mapping Services (WMS).

The IDP-GIS development team would appreciate your feedback so please
send all comments to the following email:idp.gis.support at noaa.gov  
If you experience trouble accessinghttp://idpgis.ncep.noaa.gov, please
send an email toncwcp.helpdesk at noaa.gov   with a description of your access problem.
