A new version of nowCOAST (V. 5.0.1) was implemented in the NOAA IDP
infrastructure at 18 UTC yesterday.

The new version featured several minor changes including:

1) bug fix to nowCOAST's LayerInfo web service to give proper legend URLs,
2) change to allow users' FLEX (Adobe Flash) viewers to connect to
nowCOAST's map services via HTTPS protocol,
3) bug fix to nowCOAST's map viewer to allow it to connect to NOS/Office
of Coast Survey's maritimeboundaries.noaa.gov and
seamlessrnc.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov map services via HTTPS protocol as
well as by the present HTTP protocol when overlaying NOAA's nautical
charts and different maritime boundaries,
4) modification of nowCOAST's data ingest system to reduce risk of
intermittent, brief outages of NWS tropical cyclone track /intensity
forecasts and cone of uncertainties in the  map services and on the map
viewer when there is a problem with an upstream data provider's
server(s), and
5) additions to nowCOAST's InfoDepot Help web page.
