Dear all,

Along with the upcoming commit to the GSM trunk (ticket #84), the scale-
& aerosol-aware deep & shallow convection schemes with convective
cloudiness enhancement are ready to commit to nems trunk. The nems
ticket is:

https://svnemc.ncep.noaa.gov/trac/nems/ticket/154

The corresponding gsm ticket is:

https://svnemc.ncep.noaa.gov/trac/gsm/ticket/84

The nems branch is at:
https://svnemc.ncep.noaa.gov/projects/nems/branches/mfcnvcldC

gsm branch is at:
https://svnemc.ncep.noaa.gov/projects/gsm/branches/mfcnvcldC

The regression tests were successful on both theia and wcoss:

Due to changes in module_CU_SAS.F90 in nems (it now calls sascnvn &
shalcnv rather than sascnvn1 & shalcnv1 which were removed), the results
for nmm_reg_sel_phy & nmm_reg_sas_zhao is different from those for NMMB
baseline tests. The scale- & aerosol-aware deep and shallow convection
schemes with convective cloudiness enhancement are turn on with
mfcnvcld=.true. in the run script (default is mfcnvcld=.false.). With
mfcnvcld=.true., new results associated with the updated schemes are
produced in gfs_slg, gfs_slg_48pe, gfs_slg_2thread, gfs_slg_rsthst, and
gfs_slg_t574.

Please let me know if you have any question.

Thanks,
Jongil
