[Ncep.list.idp.mrms.users] Application Upgrade Notice - IDP MRMS v10.5.1

Dear MRMS Users:

Effective Monday, December 14, 2015, at approximately 1600Z, the 
operational IDP Multi-Radar/Multi-Sensor (MRMS) application hosted at 
NCO in College Park, MD, will be upgraded to version 10.5.1. The IDP 
Onboarding Team is in the process of upgrading the operational servers 
associated with IDP MRMS.

Highlights of the new release include:

* RIDGEII processing to produce both GRIB2 and GeoTIFF files for 
multiple domains;
* Increased number of hydrological datasets from HADS gages;
* Proper inclusion of KLGX in 2D mosaic products;
* Improvements to lower latency of severe weather products

Detailed NCO Release Notes will be distributed next week as part of a 
follow-up reminder of the upgrade.

Please note the new MRMS may require a change to your LDM configuration 
(ldmd.conf and/or pqact.conf). In order to differentiate the data 
products you will need to request specific products for specific 
domains. The follow-up reminder next week will provide specifics on 
these changes.
