[Ncep.list.idp-gis-status] NWS Dissemination GIS Status Message - Surface Observation as a New Service and Update to WWA service’s field names

NWS Dissemination GIS Team Status Message

Effective Monday, May 15, 2023, the NWS Dissemination GIS team provided
users with access to Surface Observation as a new GIS service. This new
service will be available via two protocols: GeoServices Representational
State Transfer (REST) map services and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)
compliant Web Map Services (WMS). We also updated the Watches Warning and
Advisory (WWA) service to display more descriptive field names.

public cloud (AWS) which is monitored 24 x 7.
