A lot of progress has been made, but there is always room for continued education on the resources NOAA provides to support emergency managers in a variety of disasters. <br><br><div>The International Association of Emergency Managers Annual Conference will take place November 15-20 in Savannah, Georgia and is an excellent opportunity to further NOAA’s partnership with emergency management organizations across the nation. This year NOAA will be expanding its exhibit space at the conference to better highlight the full spectrum of products and services it can provide to emergency managers. <br><br></div><div>I would like to encourage those of you with emergency response missions, assets, and capabilities to consider sending employees from your offices to this conference. While historically the largest NOAA presence at the conference has been the National Weather Service, last year nearly one hundred NOAA employees participated providing a broad range of representation across all of NOAA. With NOAA's increased footprint at the conference there are additional opportunities to engage all line and staff offices to communicate NOAA's role in disaster response.
