Good Morning All,

Per Department of Commerce (DOC) Conference Policy, we are collecting
conference information to include in our Annual Plan which gets submitted
to DOC.  Please include any planned conferences for FY 2019 on the attached
Annual Plan Excel Template including any request already submitted or
approved (this is only for Conferences not Group Travel Requests). If you
have no conferences to report, provide a negative response to this email.

For any re-occurring Conference over $200K please also list on the attached
Pre-Approved Conference Plan Excel. DOC will be trying to streamline the
approval process by pre-approving all re-occurring conferences (this does
not include host/sponsoring conferences) so that they will already have DOC
approval thus decreasing the approval time.

We are requesting a response by *COB September 7, 2018 (DUE DATE CHANGE) *

I have included you as a point of contact for conferences within your line
office or staff office.  If you believe you should not be on this list, or
wish to suggest that another email be added, please let me know.

Starting FY 2019 we will request all pre-approved packs include ONLY
documents found on our NOAA Conference and Group Travel Website below. Any
other documents will not be accepted. All documents have been updated to
reflect current DOC/NOAA Policies. Website: http://

Please also remember to do Conference Cost Actual Validations for each
Conference which are requested at the end of each quarter. Information on
the Validation process can also be found on our website as well. The
validations are used for Auditing purposes.
