Some rapid follow-up implementations have been performed to fix some wave and downstream issues (v16.0.8 & v16.0.9). Additionally a planned update to the GSI has been merged with a bug fix for WAFS and an additional wave fix file update...all of that is about to be implemented into operations as GFSv16.1.1. Below is more information on all of this:

1) operations branch now v16.0.9

I waited for some of the initial bugs to get sorted out before finally merging the first GFSv16 version back into the global-workflow operations branch. That commit was performed last week and was committed @ 68b9157. The operations branch now matches current ops for v16.0.9. The official tag off the operations branch for v16.0.9 has now been cut and released: NCO-v16.0.9

2) develop branch now has v16.0.9 updates as well

Today I submitted PR #323 into the develop branch to bring in the changes for v16.0.9. The updated system is being tested in tomorrow's WCOSS parallel production test (PPT) with a tentative implementation date of next Tuesday May 18th at 12z.
