<p>Following changes were committed to the NEMSfv3gfs
repositories:</p>
<p>Ticket <a class="issue tracker-28 status-1 priority-4

href="https://vlab.ncep.noaa.gov/redmine/issues/64015">#64015</a>:</p>
<p>The TKE-EDMF is further updated:<br>
1) the constant minimum mixing length (30m) is modified to
decrease exponentially with height from 30m at surface, which
helps to reduce the negative wind speed bias in upper
troposphere.<br>
2) the background diffusivity and the empirical coefficient
for TKE dissipation are modified to decrease with increasing
stability for stable layers.<br>
3) the empirical coefficient of eddy diffusivities for scalar
variables in free atmosphere is increased from 0.15 to 0.2.</p>
<p>When the new namelist variable for TKE-EDMF ('isatmedmf') is
set to 1, the updated TKE-EDMF scheme ('satmedmfvdifq.f) is
used. If isatmedmf=0, the initial version of TKE-EDMF
('satmedmfvdif.f') is used.</p>
