Dear all,

We are working on moving NEMSfv3gfs/FV3 repositories to github. The
NEMSfv3gfs repository will be moved to github at:

FV3 repository:

The repository will follow forking workflow. A develop branch will be
created to integrate all the development work (equivalent to the master
branch in vlab). Besides that only production and release branches will
be maintained in the repository. All the development work will be at
developers' personal forks and pull requests need to be made to commit
the code changes into the repository.

General impact:
1) if you are currently checking out the vlab master branch, you need to
clone the github repoistory and check out develop branch.
2) Developers need to have a github account for their development work.
So please create a github account if you don't have one.

A detailed "how-to" guide for developers will be available when the new
repository is set up. The planned date to have the new repository
available to public is Oct 16.
