[Ncep.list.fv3-announce] global project and global-workflow on Hera

All,

The global area on Hera can be found under /scratch1/NCEPDEV. If you are
part of the global project on Hera you can create your Firstname.Lastname
folder under it (e.g. /scratch1/NCEPDEV/global/Kate.Friedman). I will not
be creating any "save" or "noscrub" subfolders, we are moving away from
that convention. You will find two stmp areas under /scratch1/NCEPDEV for
your rotating directories. There are also two stmp areas under
/scratch2/NCEPDEV. Like Theia there is no scrubbing so please make sure to
keep your areas clean!

The process to set up the global-workflow and its components on Hera is in
progress. There is an issue documenting the workflow side of things and
coordination with the various components. Feel free to add yourself as a
watcher to the issue:

Feel free to send me questions about the workflow side of things in the
coming weeks but keep in mind I will not be able to assist with
troubleshooting (or sharing) "working" copies until things start to
stabilize. Please attend the trainings and send questions to the Hera
helpdesk as you set up your own areas on Hera. Thankfully Hera is very
similar to Theia!
