Thanks Heather....

Here is a summary for a future discussion on this topic:
All Legacy systems (Okeanos) are planned to migrate from running within ESPC and move to the cloud. We started our AoA before that decision had been made - so it was not part of our conclusion, however; it was one of the recommendation at the end. I believe it's a JPSS "problem" because they are JPSS requirements - which makes it different than the other products being produced on legacy systems.

It was removed from IDPS a long time ago because of the complexity of the algorithm, among other things. Putting it back in IDPS was a non-starter, IMO. The AoA was primarily between MSN and NDE although we did include comments as to why it should not be in IDPS.

Thanks,
Bonnie

I pinged Greg this morning. He has asked Karen and Vanessa what the plan was when Okeanos was shut down and why is this a JPSS problem alone. He asked what the other products are doing. Vanessa responded she wants the products in the cloud…so that led to why not in IDPS.
We can discuss.

Thanks, Lihang -
Yeah... I meant to cc Heather as well (so I am looping her in now) just in case I missed a step and she is the one who briefed Greg.

Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for the update and it looks good to me. Currently STAR is still waiting for the response from the program and has not received it yet.
Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks,
Lihang

Hi Lihang,

I woke up with a migraine so I'm at home at the moment. I've been working the OCC risk with Arron and Nazmi, so I'm up to speed on the current status:
1. The AoA recommended that OCC run in NDE
2. Harry wrote a letter explaining why it should run in MSN at STAR
3. Arron, Nazmi, and I provided Heather a rebutel to that letter and she took it to Greg
4. Greg's position is that OCC is a JPSS requirement and JPSS's decision on processing environment stands
5. Last I heard he was going to talk to Harry, but that has not happened, so the risk update for today is "no update"

Let me know if you have any questions - I may try and come in this afternoon.
Bonnie

Hi Bonnie,
I am here today. If you want we can discuss a little more about the OC risk updates prior to the risk meeting.
Thanks,
Lihang

Hi Lihang,

Would you be able to run the AMP meeting next Monday so I can attend the Ground Risk Management Board to give a status on the Ocean Color Processing Risk?

I've created the Meeting Minutes document already here<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__docs.google.com_document_d_1Wqs6C5wqcnZ72YVBeRG-2DpBhEebrExbhTCMcl-5FuA9yDA_edit&d=DwMFaQ&c=ApwzowJNAKKw3xye91w7BE1XMRKi2LN9kiMk5Csz9Zk&r=K_2z7DsvBCdq6dcB63ZOTtgzEIIq17vhpAIsymIPw10&m=UdcBDl2XyNSgF23_shoSi0VeHyE-_a7tiE_yGzHQlBc&s=rqpQV4Tcn4AxcoIQpjMTB3SG51vTQWbKf505FUXbngI&e=>.
