northern India, received above normal rainfall. Elsewhere, much of the whole
region received below normal rainfall, except South Korea.</p>

has officially come to an end in India, the rainfall over the whole monsoon
region is at near or below normal levels. The northeast winter monsoon
(Oct-Dev) is about to start.  For the
next two weeks, the NCEP GFS model forecasts slightly above normal rainfall
over southern India and parts of Indonesia. Elsewhere, below normal rainfall is
forecast, except over parts of Indonesian islands.<br>
