to slightly above normal levels, particularly in southeastern China, Kashmir
India, parts of the Middle East, and Indonesia. For the past 30 days, slightly
above normal rainfall fell over the Middle East, in the border area between New
Guinea and Papua New Guinea, and parts of eastern Australia. Elsewhere it is
below normal to near normal. </p>
