rainfall was observed over portions of DRC, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and
northern South Africa.<span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Weekly
total rainfall was below-average over much of Angola, Tanzania, southern
Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar.<span></span></p>

outlooks call for an increased chance for below-average rainfall over portions
of Angola, eastern Zimbabwe, central and southern Mozambique, eastern South

above-average rainfall over eastern Namibia, much of Botswana, Zambia, portions
of South Africa, southern Tanzania, Malawi and northern Mozambique.<span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Long-term rainfall deficits are present over the Amazon
Basin and central Brazil.<span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">During the last 7 days (23 - 29 Jan 2017), below-average
precipitation was observed over much of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and northern
Argentina. Above-average precipitation was observed over northern Peru,
northern Bolivia and southern Brazil.<span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">For 30 Jan – 05 Feb 2017, below-average precipitation is
predicted over northeastern and central Brazil, southern Peru, northern Bolivia
and southern Chile.  Above-average
precipitation is predicted for portions of southern Colombia, southern Ecuador,
northern Peru, central Argentina and southern Brazil.<span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>
