the past seven days, many places in the Sahel region received above-average
rainfall, whereas rainfall deficits prevailed over portions of Nigeria and the

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Week-1
outlooks call for an increased chance for above-average rainfall over much of Senegal,
southern Mali, Guinea, northern Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. In contrast,
there is an increased chance for below-average rainfall over portions of
Nigeria, southern Niger, southern and central Chad, and portions of southern
Sudan.</span></p>

below-average over nearly the entire NAM domain.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">NCEP/GFS Forecasts call for slightly above-average rainfall
