 set {{{days, months = 0}}} in the input.nml namelist, because if {{{FHMAX
 > 24}}}, and {{{days/months}}} are not explicitly set to 0 in the calling
 script, then the forecast is twice as long, since days is computed as
 {{{FHMAX/24}}};
 e.g for {{{FHMAX = 24}}}, the model runs for {{{1 day, 24 hours}}}
