    In today's MEG meeting, there was discussion about a web site on which
there are plots comparing the precip forecasts from multiple models
(including the GFS and FV3GFS) to Stage IV analyses.     That site is
http://www.emc.ncep.noaa.gov/mmb/ylin/pcpverif/daily/   and it's maintained
by Ying Lin of EMC.       It's a great resource to check out, not only for
the FV3GFS evaluation, but also for a quick look at the performance of many
models on a day-to-day basis covering multiple years.
